“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good ” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-21
Life will not always be easy, but God calls us to remain joyful, prayerful, and thankful. Joy is not based on perfect situations; it is based on trusting that God is still in control. Prayer keeps our hearts connected to Him, and gratitude helps us remember His faithfulness even in difficult moments.
The passage also tells us not to quench the Spirit. When God speaks to our hearts, we should listen, obey, and hold tightly to what is good.
