“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” — Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)

Morning Devotion:
Words are powerful. With just a few sentences, we can either bring peace or create conflict. In moments of tension, it’s easy to react with harshness, especially when we feel hurt or misunderstood. But God calls us to a higher way—a way of gentleness.

A gentle word does not mean weakness; it reflects strength under control. It takes grace to respond with calmness when emotions are high. When we choose gentleness, we reflect the heart of God and create space for healing, understanding, and peace.

Today, pause before you speak. Let your words be guided by love, not emotion. You may never fully know how much your gentle response can calm a storm in someone else’s heart.

Morning Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Teach me to guard my words and speak with kindness. When I am tempted to respond in anger, remind me to choose gentleness instead. Fill my heart with Your peace so that my words may bring healing and not hurt. Help me to reflect Your love in all I say.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

Today's Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your word and the encouragement it brings. Let this message take root in our hearts. Guide our steps today and give us the peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, Amen.
